PAM 1500: Reading and Writing in Public Policy
PAM 1500 is an undergraduate first-year writing seminar which I designed to teach students from a variety of backgrounds and majors to engage with the news and articulate their own evidence-based opinions on important policy topics. Students choose a policy topic on which to write a sequence of four essays. See my teaching page for details.

I led two 60-minute, 35+ student sessions each week. In them, I reviewed core material and guided students through practice problems. I also introduced students to data analysis in Stata. In course evaluations, students praised my patience, clarity, and accessibility.
